About the Dork

Dan Tynan has been writing about technology since Steve Ballmer had hair. He is a contributing editor for Family Circle magazine, where he writes about the intersection of parenting and technology. He also writes about education, government, and politics. In his spare time he dabbles in snarky humor and satire of an extremely juvenile nature. And yes, he is a hopeless dork, as his kids will happily attest.

For more on Tynan, see his Wikipedia entry. It is 99.7 percent accurate, despite several unsuccessful attempts to make himself sound more important than he actually is. (Damned Wikipedians, spoiling everyone’s fun.) For samples of his work, see his Pressfolio page. He is available for hire, if anyone’s interested.
